"A very lovely place in the Australian countryside. We enjoyed our very short stay (one night only). The house was cleaned and very comfortable. We arrived late in the night but the owners were very kind with us. I missed a thing of mine and they sent it me for free".

"It was a great stay here. Mrs. Coyle was warmhearted and my family pretty liked the animals. The room was fully equipped and was spacious for 5 people, but a little crowded for 7. In all, I do enjoy the night here."
Tim - Feb 2016
"My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed this place. Pity it was only for an overnight stay. The owners were most hospitable and also allowing my two young sons to feed the farm animals. Will definitely visit again this time for a longer stay".
Chris - Oct 2015
"We had a great time staying at your property and the kids especially loved the animals. The property was very clean, bedding and towels were good quality and everything presented well"
Regina - July 14
"We arrived very very late in the afternoon and the kids wanted to see the animals after the long drive. Wendy was so wonderful and obliging, bringing the animals out and letting our 3 kids pet the cats, rabbit, chicken right till it was too dark to see!!! thank you , we had a really lovely stay !

"A great place to stay. Wendy is very friendly and welcoming and the unit is clean and comfortable. It has everything you need to feel at home, and the bed really is comfy. Our dog Diva loved her play with Molly."
Ruth - June 14
"We loved staying here! Everything about Mepunga Country Stay was awesome, from the sheep, cows, dogs etc, to the location, only 10 mins or so to Warrnambool. Our 20 month old son loved the animals and the space for him to run around in was incredible.
Ian & Wendy are wonderful hosts and are very thoughtful - eggs and milk in the fridge, and they also rustled up a car for our son to play with.
We enjoyed ourselves and cannot wait to spend more time here."
Sara - January 14
"What a beautiful little place to stay! Wendy was so down to earth and friendly. The bed was soooooo comfortable. Our daughter said that Mepunga was her favourite accommodation for the whole trip. Love..." - Jo, -Oct '13

January 2016
We are in the midst of our busy period and have had some lovely guest staying with us. On the home front all has been a bit quite on the animal front. They are getting a bit distant these days as I don't get as much time with them anymore. The sheep will come over for some grain still and Bella will come for an apple but they are starting to get a bit anxious with new people these days. Our highlight this month is Molly's babies. Molly our dog has had 8 puppies on the 29th December. They are starting to crawl around, play with each other and look terribly terribly gorgeous.
May 2015
We have had a dreadful couple of months with our animals. Its lovely living in the country but life on the farm and indeed close to the highway can be so cruel. We lost Laura the Lamb, Oscar the rabbit and one of our very friendly cats, Reggie who many children would have held over the Christmas break.
February 2015
We were kept nice and busy over the Christmas break and now have some little chickens added to our little farm. They are ever so gorgeous and growing really really fast.
December 2014
Its starting to warm up nicely now, just in time to keep all our baby lambs warm. All our animals have made it through the winter and now have lots of grass to eat. Bella (Cow) is still ever so friendly enjoying a pat and an apple. Oscar (Rabbit) has had a lovely winter and tripled in size.
There is lots of confusion going on for our dog Molly. She has never been a mum but insists on being a mother to everything here. Believe it or not, she is actually now producing milk because the cats keep trying to suck on her nipples !! They all cuddle up together at night, its quite cute, but a little odd really. Now that we had little Laura arrive last Wednesday she is quite keen on Molly being her mum too !! Busy times ahead for Molly !
We're all set for the busy Christmas period ahead.
July 2014
Winter is well upon us and the Whales have arrived in small numbers at the moment.
Bella, our newest calf is coming along nicely and is ever so friendly. She doesn't need to be fed milk from us anymore but LOVES it as a treat. She's started having a piece of apple but is very confused how to chew it.
The newest additions our 2 kittens Reggie and Hunter, have settled in nicely. Molly our dog is mothering them well,..........also trying to feed them !!!!! Weird !!! Shes only 10 months old and has never had puppies of her own.
We still only have 2 chickens laying, the new younger ones are taking quite a while to settle into life here, being handled all the time. Im sure they will get laying as the warmer months approach.
Our sheep have been have had big Cecil over for a few months now. We'll be expecting some lambs late October.
December 2013 - January 2014
Wow, what a busy period it's been at Mepunga Country Stay. We have had lots of visitors from all around the world including some from France who were quite interested in learning about our animals.
We now have some 12 week old chickens who will start laying eggs in 4 weeks. We also have two 16 week old chickens which have just started laying. There eggs are quite small and are coming out funny shapes. You will definately need more than one of these if you try them for your
breaky !!
Emmy our new red angus calf is growing well and is soooooooo friendly. She really loves attention,............ if you can manage to stop her from standing on your feet.
November 2013
We have received an orphaned calf this week. We've called her Emmy. She is a Red Angus. She will be hand feed for quite a few months.
We currently have an orphaned lamb to feed she was born on the 3rd September. She will need to be bottle fed for 2 months, however she will want to be fed for longer if you would like to have a try.
We have many other sheep which are tame. They like to eat grain out of the tub from you and they also like a bottle, . . . . just because its yummy !!
Zoe the cow likes a pat and a nice scratch around the ears and jaw. She likes to eat bread and grain from your hand or the tub.
The chooks are nice to see. They may come and take some pallets from your hand. Ralph the Rooster is a very handsome fella. He still needs some work socialising because he is still a bit scared. He sometimes lets out a lovely Cock-a-doodle-doooooooo. If you are lucky you may even be able to get an egg from their nest !
All of the above is available with prior arrangement, before your visit or on arrival.
